Oklahoma State's third-ranked equestrian team defeated the No. 8 TCU Horned Frogs, 11-8, on Sunday.

"We are very proud of the way the girls rode today, beating a tough TCU team on the road," coach Larry Sanchez said. "It was very important to get this win in Fort Worth as TCU beat us in Stillwater 10-9. This will help us in the Big 12 standings and hopefully a better seed in the tournament."

OSU's western team avenged their only loss of the season today with a 7-2 victory, winning reining 4-1 and horsemanship 3-1. They are now 11-1 on the season.

Sophomore Katy Krshka picked up her team leading 11^th MOP of the season today in reining, while sophomore Lindsay McMullen secured the MOP in horsemanship, with a high score of 77.5.

The hunter seat team fell 6-4 today despite Samantha Harrison picking up her 4^th MOP of the season with a high score of 93 in equitation over fences. Oklahoma State would win equitation over fences 3-2 today but would fall 4-1 in the flat portion of the meet.

Oklahoma State will be back in action on March 9 when they host South Carolina at the Animal Science Arena at 10 a.m.
