STILLWATER, Okla. -
Oklahoma State equestrian junior Katy Krshka was named the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Month for November, the conference announced today.
Krshka dominated the horsemanship event in the month of November. Her 76.5-70.5 win over South Dakota State's Danielle Dickerson on Nov. 2 opened the floodgates for the Cowgirls as they swept the Jackrabbits in the event. In the Nov. 16 match, Krshka garnered a 77.5-74.5 win over Taylor Gillete of TCU. Her score earned her Most Outstanding Performer for the event. Once again, her opening round win helped pave the way for the Cowgirls to sweep the Horned Frogs in the horsemanship event.
Later in the month, Krshka was crowned as the winner of the AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge.
The seventh-ranked Cowgirls (2-2) will take the next month and a half off before resuming competition on Jan. 31 against Auburn in Dover, Del.
