STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team achieved several milestones en route to a 103-52 victory over UMass Lowell on Tuesday night in front of 2,202 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
With the victory, the Cowgirls improved to 6-0, while the River Hawks fell to 0-5.
Behind a 21-point half from sophomore Brittney Martin, the Cowgirls raced out to a 51-30 lead through the first 20 minutes. Martin's first-half point total was just one shy of her career high, which she set in OSU's last outing against Southern California.
Martin finished with a career-high 31 points on a 15-of-18 shooting night and was one of four players to finish the game in double figures. The Syracuse, Utah native also finished one rebound shy of her career high, pulling 13 boards to log her second double-double in a row.
Martin was one of three Cowgirls to post a double-double on the night. Junior Liz Donohoe scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while becoming the 21st player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
Senior Tiffany Bias added 11 points on the night to go with 12 assists, which moved her into ninth place on the Big 12's all-time assist chart with 628.
Senior Kendra Suttles scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
The 103 points signaled the first time OSU has hit the century mark since scoring 101 on Nov. 18, 2012 against Weber State.
Shannon Samuels and Jasmine McRoy each scored 14 points to lead UML.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Dec. 1 when they host North Texas at 2 p.m.
