STILLWATER -
After resting two of its three returning All-Americans at Saturday's Pre National Invitational, Oklahoma State men's cross country has moved to the No. 3 ranking in the nation, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, which was released today.
The Cowboys, without All-Americans Tom Farrell and Shadrack Kipchirchir, still managed to take seventh place at Pre Nationals, which featured 10 of the nation's top 25 teams.
This is the 40th-consecutive poll in which OSU has been ranked in the nation's top three. The last time the Cowboys weren't ranked in the top three was in 2009, when they spent two weeks at No. 4.
OSU cross country will be back in action on Nov. 2, when the teams travel to Waco, Texas, for the Big 12 Cross Country Championships.
