Sardinha Competes in Pre-Qualifying at ITA All-American

WESTWOOD, Calif. -
Oklahoma State's C.C. Sardinha competed in the pre-qualifying round of the women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships on Saturday.
In the first round of the tournament, Sardinha defeated Denver's Sophia Bergner 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4. Sardinha fell to Julia Elbaba of Virginia, however, in the second round, losing by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
Sardinha is attempting to qualify and join teammates Malika Rose and Kayapat Narattana in the main draw of this year's tournament. Rose and Narattana will be competing in the doubles main draw of the tournament next weekend.
The pre-qualifying round of the tournament wraps up on Sunday with singles and doubles consolation rounds. The qualifying round will begin on Tuesday.
