Cowgirls Move Up to No. 23

STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State women's cross country team moved up one spot and the men's team remained at No. 2, according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll, released this morning.
The Cowgirls moved up to No. 23 this week after dropping to No. 24 last week. Washington still leads the pack at No. 1, with Florida State. at No. 2 and Oregon third. There were three new additions to this week's poll. Butler entered at No. 21, Columbia at No. 24 and Wisconsin at No. 29. West Virginia, Princeton and Minnesota all dropped out.
The Cowboys held steady in the No. 2 spot behind Wisconsin and ahead of BYU. There were no major changes to the top 15 teams. This week's poll did see the addition of Virginia at No. 27. The only team to drop out of this week's poll was Georgia.
Both OSU teams will be back in action Saturday when they host the annual Cowboy Jamboree at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater.
