Blumer, Daniels Set To Compete At Collegiate Reining Championships
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Oklahoma State equestrian team members Caroline
Daniels and Jenna Blumer will compete in the Collegiate Reining
Championships at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City Saturday.
The Cowgirls make up a pair of the top 12 collegiate reiners in the country
that will compete for the title. The championship is a part of the 2012
National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby in Oklahoma City.
Caroline Daniels led the Oklahoma State reiners in 2011-12 with an 11-5
record. Blumer followed closely behind, compiling a 10-5-1 record,
including a spotless 3-0 mark at the National Collegiate Equestrian
Association National Championships. The duo led the Cowgirls to their
second Big 12 Championship in four years. Daniels' record included a
seven-match win streak that saw four-straight MVP performances during the
regular season.
The Collegiate Reining Championships are made up of the top four riders
from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association, the Intercollegiate
Horse Show Association and the National Reining Horse Association.
