Former Cowboy Terrel Harris realized a dream Thursday night. He has not only made it to the League, but he has an NBA Championship ring to prove it.
Oklahoma State University and the Cowboy Basketball program would like to congratulate Terrel on being a world champion as a member of the Miami Heat!
Harris even played in the final game on the biggest stage in the sport of basketball. With three minutes remaining in game five, he stepped onto the court and put his name in the boxscore with three points on 3-of-4 shooting from the free-throw line and a rebound.
Harris wasn't just a bench warmer for the NBA Champs; he played in 26 games this season and even started a game against the New Jersey Nets on April 16 in place of Dwyane Wade. In fact, on Jan. 5, he had a career night, grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds and scoring nine points in 44 minutes against the Atlanta Hawks.
Harris becomes the third former Cowboy to win an NBA Championship. Corey Williams won a championship ring in 1993 with the Chicago Bulls, and current Memphis Grizzly Tony Allen won an NBA title in 2008 with the Boston Celtics.
