Cowgirl Equestrian Releases 2012-13 Schedule
STILLWATER, Okla.—The Oklahoma State equestrian team released its schedule for the 2012-13 season. The Cowgirls introduce the TCU Horned Frogs as the newest member of the Big 12 Conference as they look to defend their conference title.
Marquee matchups include a rematch of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Western National Championship finalists on Feb. 2, 2013, when the Pokes host the Texas A&M Aggies in a nonconference meeting. Oklahoma State kicks off the season with a road trip to SEC country, where they will take on Auburn and South Carolina before returning to host Baylor in the home opener.
The Pokes will host the Big 12 Championships at Animal Science Arena for the second time in the championship's five-year history on March 29 and 30, 2013.
The Cowgirls look to improve on their success in 2011-12, where they came away with their second Big 12 Championship in four years and a Reserve National Championship in western.
All home equestrian events are free to the public and are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. CST at Animal Science Arena in Stillwater.
