Cowgirl Equestrian Adds Another To Incoming Class
STILLWATER, Okla.--The Oklahoma State equestrian team signed one of the
nation's most accomplished junior riders to its 2012-13 incoming class.
Erin Willoughby comes to Stillwater from Murrieta, California. Her
illustrious junior career includes circuit championships at multiple
American Quarter Horse Association and National Reining Horse Association
competitions. She was Top Ten World in 2007 and 2008 and a qualifier for
the Affiliate Finals three-straight years (2007-09). She was also a
finalist at the 2011 AQHA Youth World Championship Show.
Willoughby will graduate from River Springs Renaissance High School Academy
in June. Her high school accomplishments include the Honor Roll Award,
Outstanding Work Award in Student Body and Outstanding Achievement in
Community Service. She is an International Baccalaureate Student and
volunteers her time at the National Ability Center, helping special needs
children learn to ride a horse.
She joins ten others to make up the 2012-13 incoming class. The Cowgirls had another successful season in 2011-12, earning a Big 12 Championship and Reserve National Championship honors in western.
