OSU Tabs Atkins As Senior Woman Administrator

Joel Atkins, who serves as Oklahoma State's assistant athletic director for business operations, has added the title of Senior Woman Administrator to her duties. The announcement was made today by OSU Director of Athletics Mike Holder.
"Joel is an intelligent and dedicated worker," Holder said. "She is extremely professional and has a great understanding of our department and the university."
Atkins, a native of Bartlesville, is an Oklahoma State graduate. She joined the athletic department in 1998 and was elevated to assistant athletic director for business in 2010. She will continue with those tasks in addition to her new SWA responsibilities.
"I am honored to serve my alma mater in this additional role," Atkins said. "We use the term `family' around here a lot because it is very accurate. I can't wait to get started."
Atkins is married to Richard Atkins, who is a captain with the OSU Police Department. They have four children: Matthew, Ryan, Michael and Morgan.
