OSU Softball Shut Out 4-0 bu Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo.—The Oklahoma State softball team was shut out by a score of 4-0 by the No. 10 Missouri Tigers on Friday evening. Missouri's Chelsea Thomas threw a no-hitter for the Tigers.
The Tigers (41-12, 15-7) scored the first runs of the game off a two-run home run in the second inning by Lindsey Muller.
The Cowgirls (25-24, 8-14) had a chance to score in the top of the sixth when Ari Morrison led the inning off by reaching first after being hit by a pitch. She stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. But with two outs, Tamara Brown struck out looking to end the half inning.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Tigers had the bases loaded after a walk, a hit, and two fielder's choices. Ashley Fleming scored from third on a wild pitch and Nicole Hudson scored on a single down the third base line by Kayla Kingsley. Simone
Freeman started in the circle for Oklahoma State and threw all six innings. She gave up five hits for three earned runs, walked two and struck out one. She is now 7-11 on the season. Chelsea Thomas threw the complete game shutout for Missouri after striking out 12 and walking one. She improves to 22-7.
The two teams will play again tomorrow at 2 p.m. for the second game of the conference series.
