OSU Throwers Wrap Up Don Kirby Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nick Miller notched a first place finish as members of the Oklahoma State track and field team competed in throwing events at the Don Kirby Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
Miller, a freshman from Carlisle, United Kingdom, placed first in the hammer throw after posting a 59.39-meter effort. Miller currently owns the No. 8 hammer throw mark nationally of 65.09 meters, which he set at the Texas Relays on March 28.
Andrew Hudson placed second in the discus throw with a 49.06-meter effort.
Cowgirl Brooke Gritters had an impressive meet after posting two top-three finishes. Gritters placed second in the discus throw with a mark of 46.26 meters. She also placed third in the shot put with a throw of 13.55 meters, which is the seventh-best mark all-time at OSU.
OSU will return to the track next Saturday, April 14, when it travels to Norman for the John Jacobs Invitational.
