Oklahoma State Horses Garner National Awards

The Oklahoma State equestrian team had two horses honored at the 2012 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championships last week.
What An Easy Chic, also known as Shady, was recognized as the Most Outstanding Reining Horse at the championship. She won the Lawson Bronze Trophy, donated by the National Reining Horse Association. The 12-year old mare was chosen out of a field of some of the best reining horses in the nation as determined by the judges at NCEA.
Mr. Solanos Kid, also known as Larry, won the Team Choice Award for outstanding performance in reining. This award was voted on by all the teams competing at the championship. Larry won the Most Outstanding Reining Horse award at the 2011 championship.
Oklahoma State is proud to maintain the top reining horses in the nation. The awards are coming on the heels of the Cowgirls' western Reserve National Championship.
