Cowgirls Garner Individual Conference Honors

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- The Oklahoma State Equestrian team earned three Rider of the Year honors and five All-Big 12 honors the conference announced Thursday.
Caroline Daniels continued her impressive senior campaign after being named Reining Rider of the Year. Freshman Katy Krshka earned Co-Rider of the Year in Horsemanship with Texas A&M's Carey Nowacek and senior Jordan White was awarded Co-Rider of the Year in Equitation on the Flat with Baylor's Taylor Brown.
Daniels, Krshka and White were also named to the 2011-12 All-Big 12 Team in their respective disciplines. Joining them were Lauren Halvorson in Horsemanship and Samantha Harrison in Equitation over Fences.
The Cowgirls' Rider of the Year honors are tops in the league, earning three of the six spots awarded.
Oklahoma State is in action today as the top seed in the Big 12 Championship when they take on the host and No. 4 seed Kansas State Wildcats. The winner will advance to the Big 12 Championship final tomorrow.
