Cowgirls Advance to WNIT Quarterfinals

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State had four players score in double figures as the Cowgirls knocked off Missouri State, 70-57, on Thursday night in front of 2,372 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena to advance to the quarterfinal round of the WNIT.
With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 19-12, while the Bears wrapped up their year with a 24-9 record.
MSU scored the game's first seven points before OSU responded with a 12-1 run that included a pair of 3-pointers from freshman Liz Donohoe to gain its first lead of the night.
The Cowgirls pushed the margin to double figures for the first time at 27-17 on a free throw from junior Toni Young. However, the Bears answered quickly with an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to cut the lead back to two.
MSU knotted the score at 29 apiece before junior Vicky McIntyre hit a turnaround jumper at the buzzer to send OSU into the break up two.
The Cowgirls used an 11-2 spurt to start the second half and build a double-digit advantage again at 42-31.
The Bears would cut the lead back to five at 42-37 with 14:47 to go, but would get no closer.
Donohoe led all scorers with 25 points and added 14 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double. Young finished with 15 points, while junior Lindsey Keller added 12 and McIntyre came off the bench to score 11.
Sophomore Tiffany Bias added a game-high nine assists to become just the third Cowgirl to surpass the 200-assist mark in a season.
Jaleshia Roberson scored 13 points to lead the Bears.
The Cowgirls will host Colorado on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in Stillwater.
