Cowgirls Fall In Round Two Of Bedlam

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Freshman guard Sharane Campbell scored 20 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to help Oklahoma hold off Oklahoma State 80-71 Saturday.
Oklahoma (15-6, 7-3 Big 12) won its third in a row, getting 16 points apiece from Jelena Cerina and Aaryn Ellenberg. Whitney Hand pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds for the Sooners.
Liz Donohoe and Tiffany Bias had 20 points to lead Oklahoma State (12-7, 4-6), which has lost three straight.
Vicky McIntyre's lay-in with 7:36 remaining in the first half ended an 8-0 Sooner run, followed by the Cowgirls going on a 16-8 run that got OSU within 35-34 at halftime. Oklahoma State regained and lost the lead twice in the second half before the Sooners took control.
Oklahoma State found itself in foul trouble early with forward Toni Young sitting out the last 4:39 of the first half after picking up her third foul. Donohoe played with four fouls and Jenni Bryan fouled out late for the Cowgirls.
Oklahoma went ahead for good with 6:39 left on Kaylon Williams' jumper and then a Campbell three-pointer on an inbounds pass from Hand just 29 seconds later.
Oklahoma State won the first meeting 66-63 in Stillwater earlier this season but allowed Oklahoma to get to the free-throw line 28 times in Norman. The Sooners made 19 foul shots on Saturday.
