The 15th-ranked Oklahoma State softball team will travel to Auburn, Ala., this weekend for the ACC/Big 12/SEC Challenge where the Cowgirls will play two teams from both the ACC and the SEC. The Cowgirls are coming off a weekend in Houston where they started the season 4-1.
Junior Tamara Brown leads the Cowgirls at the plate after opening weekend with a .533 batting average. She went 8-for-15 with five runs batted in and a stolen base. The Cowgirls will also play Auburn (5-0) which they split two games with last season.
On Saturday, OSU will face No. 23 Georgia Tech (4-1) which they beat last year in the Knoxville Regional 2-1. The Sunday morning game will be against No. 2 Alabama (4-0) which the Cowgirls have never beaten. OSU's all-time record against the Crimson Tide is 0-3.
