Cowboy Jamboree Q&A: Colby Lowe

What are the advantages to having a meet at your home course?
"First of all, we run this course day in and day out. We're used to running it. We know everything about it and that helps, definitely. When you go to any other race, you get maybe one day to take a quick look at it and then you've got to race on it. It's got some pride to it, having it at your home course."
What are your thoughts on running in your final Jamboree?
"It's a little weird to think of that. Just that everything is coming to an end. I can remember when it was just my freshman year and it's just one of those things that it's just going to be one of the last ones, so it's going to be one to remember."
What is your favorite moment from the Jamboree?
"I think it's definitely, you know, you go through the first 5K and you turn around and go right back up the start and we've got that last 3K left and it's a good, hard 3K. A lot of people don't realize that and it's nice to know, you know, what's coming up and kind of where everybody is."
Is the Jamboree a good measuring stick to see where you all are as a team?
"Definitely. It's one of the top courses in the nation and it's good to see how all the training has come along and see how everybody's looking. And it's just one step in the goal, getting to the national championship."
What is the atmosphere like at the Jamboree?
"It's different from year to year, but we're looking to have just a good Jamboree and just a good run, and to come out and perform. And (it's) really just a good measuring stick to see where we stand and what else we have to improve and work on for the next coming races."
