What are the advantages to having a meet at your home course?
"Well, we've run it so many times, we know how to go out conservatively, when to go, when not to go. We know what places are going to be the hardest, for example, the hills. What hills to run hard, what hills not to run hard. But it gives you a mental advantage more than physical, I would say, because it's a really difficult course, and just going out there we know what to expect from it."
What are your thoughts on running in your final Jamboree?
"Man, I haven't even thought about that. These past four years have gone by so quickly. I haven't even thought about that, but yeah, I mean, it's going to be good. The last time I'm going to run here and just go out there and give it my best and hopefully come up with a team win."
What is your favorite moment from the Jamboree?
"I think last year in Big 12's when we finished first, second, third, fourth. It was a very exciting day just because it was nice seeing my teammates all in orange and everyone cheering for us, and it was a very entertaining race."
Is the Jamboree a good measuring stick to see where you all are as a team?
"Definitely. It's the first meet of the year, so we want to see where we're at. It's pretty much our first stepping stone. This race is going to give us more insight of what we have to do to be ready for NCAA's."
What is the atmosphere like at the Jamboree?
"It's pretty crazy. We have a lot of fans out there that you probably wouldn't expect to be painted orange and black and yelling for you and having all these crazy posters. It's exciting. It kind of gets you motivated to go out there and do well for your team."
