STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State athletic department received two awards for its work during the 2010 football season.
The media relations office was given the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) award for the best overall media guide in the country, while the marketing department's football poster was named the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Bronze Award Winner.
CoSIDA, a strategic communications organization for college athletics, names the best media guide in NCAA each year. Guides are judged on editorial content, design and organization.
NACMA administrators named OSU's football poster the 2011 Bronze Winner in the category of “Promotional/Schedule.” Other winners in the group included Oregon and Wake Forest.
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. A total of 782 entries were received for the 2010-11 year.
The winners were presented their awards during NACMA's 20th Annual Convention, June 16-18 in Orlando. The awards ceremony occurred Friday, June 17.
