STILLWATER – More than 5,000 Oklahoma State Cowboy football fans cast their votes for the second annual Fan Shirt, designed by Nike. Three designs were unveiled at this year's Spring Game, and fans had the opportunity to vote for the shirt of their choice through May 2.
Fans voted and selected a two-color design that features the “Live Orange” slogan along with the OSU Brand logo on the front. The back displays Pistol Pete, along with the word “Cowboys” in a vertical design.
The program, which produced the popular “Live Orange” shirts last fall, gained momentum with more fans participating in the selection process this year.
“Fan participation is crucial to all our events on campus. Fans are the epitome of what it means to Live Orange,” said Kyle Wray, OSU Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management/Marketing. “I look forward to seeing the shirts fans chose at our games this fall in Boone Pickens Stadium.”
The official Fan Shirt will go on sale this summer and will be available at all local Nike retailers. Fans are encouraged to wear the shirt throughout the 2011-12 school year, and specifically to the home opening football game against Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 3.
Tickets are still available for the 2011 football season and can be purchased at www.okstate.com. The Cowboys are returning a Top 10 squad and are coming off an 11-2 season that featured a win over Arizona in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Don't miss out on your chance to be part of this historic season!
