Cowgirls Travel to Wichita

Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State's 19th-ranked softball team travels to Wichita, Kan., on Tuesday to take on the Wichita State Shockers. First pitch is slated for 7 pm.
The Cowgirls are 34-10 overall this season and coming off a series sweep of 25th-ranked Texas Tech. With a 5-4 conference record, OSU currently sits in fourth place of the Big 12 standings.
Oklahoma State is led by seniors Alysia Hamilton and Mariah Gearhart, who are batting .415 and .405, respectively this season. Hamilton leads the squad with 56 hits and 11 doubles, while Gearhart leads the team with 43 runs scored and 32 stolen bases.
In the circle for OSU, sophomore Kat Espinosa is 17-5 this season with a 2.38 earned run average and 11 complete games. Freshman Simone Freeman is 9-5 with a 1.90 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 99 innings.
The Cowgirls are 72-6 all-time against Wichita State, which includes a 57 game winning streak from 1979-2000. OSU defeated the Shockers 10-1 in five innings earlier this season in Stillwater.
