Cowgirls Host Auburn Tigers
STILLWATER, Okla. - The No. 4 Oklahoma State equestrian team (6-2) hosts the Auburn Tigers Saturday at Animal Science Arena.
Last Time Out
The Cowgirl knocked off the top-ranked Texas A&M Aggies in a 15-8 rout in Stillwater. The hunterseat team led the charge with a decisive 9-2 victory over the Aggies.
About The Opponent
The third-ranked Tigers are 9-3 on the season and coming off a 10-9 victory over South Carolina.
Cowgirls In The Rankings
Oklahoma State remains in the fourth spot in the Women's Intercollegiate National Coaches Poll. The Pokes debuted the season in the No. 3 spot. They received 50 points in the initial poll, 23 points behind then top-ranked Georgia.
Senior Day
The Oklahoma State program will recognize 15 seniors for their contributions to the equestrian program. This group has combined to compete more than 200 times in head-to-head competition and is leading the Pokes to another successful campaign this season.
Equitation Over Fences
Competing for the Cowgirls in equitation over fences are seniors Alice White and Erin Prutow, sophomore Ellie Sparks and freshmen Samantha Elser and Andrea Robbins.
Equitation On The Flat
Juniors Jordan White and Sarah Gesick and freshman Ali Rose will join White and Robbins in equitation on the flat.
Horsemanship
Representing the Pokes in horsemanship are seniors Ashley Kennedy and Courtney Whitacre, junior Mamie Tomlin, sophomore Marissa Dalton, redshirt freshman Lauren Halvorson and freshman Katie Ralph.
Reining
Senior Bri Parnell will take the stage for the last time at Animal Science Arena as she leads reining for the Cowgirls. Joining her are juniors Caroline Daniels and Rachel Houchin, sophomore Christy McElreath and freshman Jenna Blumer.
