Cowboy Golf Holds 36-Hole Lead In Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team opened play on Monday at the Oregon Duck Invitational with a 570 team score to stand in first place at Eugene Country Club through 36 holes.
The Cowboys' 6-under, two-round total put them three shots clear of host Oregon at the par-72, 7,020-yard layout.
Oregon State's Alex Moore followed an opening 73 with a 63 to stand at 136 and atop the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Sean Einhaus led OSU with a 141 total that included rounds of 72 and 69 to finish in a tie for fourth place.
Senior Kevin Tway rebounded from an opening 74 with a 68 to move into a tie for seventh place at 142.
Freshman Talor Gooch posted rounds of 74 and 71 to finish tied for 19th place at 145, while sophomore Drew Page followed an opening 71 with a 74 to also finish at 145.
Junior Morgan Hoffmann bounced back from a 75 during his opening round with a 71 to finish tied for 25th at 146.
Competing individually, redshirt freshman Kevin Dougherty posted a 71 and 72 to finish tied for 11th at 143.
The Cowboys will begin their final round at 8:30 a.m. (PST) tomorrow and will be grouped with Washington, Oregon and Oregon State.
