Cowgirls In 11th After Two Rounds

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 315 during its second round to drop two spots into 11th place at the Bruin Wave Invitational being contested at Robinson Ranch Golf Club.
The Cowgirls' 36-hole total of 620 put them one shot behind New Mexico State at the par-72, 6,282-yard layout. UCLA remained the only team under par, finishing the day at 1-under 575 after tallying a 294 second-round total to lead by nine over Pepperdine.
UCLA's Stephanie Kono and Texas' Rebecca Lee-Bentham shared the individual lead at 3-under 141.
OSU freshman Jayde Panos dipped from a tie for 17th into a tie for 29th place after carding a 79 to stand at 9-over 153.
Sophomore Hillary Wood posted a 79 of her own to come in a stroke back at 154 and tied for 34th place.
Freshman Josephine Janson signed for an 80 and came in tied for 50th place at 157. Also among the group at 157 was Cowgirl freshman Jade Staggs, who posted a 78 during her second round.
Junior Jocelyn Alford's 79 tied her for 58th at 159.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round at 8:50 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with New Mexico State and Oregon State.
