The Cowgirls (16-5) are coming off a 10-1 victory on Wednesday evening when they run-ruled Wichita State in five innings. OSU is batting .312 as a team and has a 1.99 team earned run average. Senior Mariah Gearhart leads the team with a .446 average, 25 runs scored and 16 stolen bases. Kat Espinosa leads the Cowgirls in the circle with a 9-2 record, a 1.69 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 70.1 innings pitched.
Oklahoma State is 6-0 all time against Northern Iowa including two wins last season. The Panthers are 9-6 and are hitting .304 as a team while the pitching staff has a 2.21 ERA. The Cowgirls have an all-time record of 3-0 against Northern Colorado including two wins against them in the 2009 Mizuno Classic. The Bears are 1-12 on the season and have a .205 team batting average with a 10.31 team ERA. OSU is 6-4 all time against Minnesota and last played them in 2007 in a game that ended in a 1-0 loss. The Golden Gophers are 11-8 on the season.
