Cowgirls Host Texas A&M
STILLWATER, Okla. - The No. 4 Oklahoma State equestrian team (5-2) hosts Big 12 foe Texas A&M Sunday at Animal Science Arena.
Last Time Out
The Cowgirls defeated the seventh-ranked Kansas State Wildcats, 12-6 at Animal Science Arena. The win was the Pokes' second over the Wildcats this season.
About The Opponent
The top-ranked Aggies are 8-0 this season and 4-0 in conference competition. These two teams have met once this season, with the Aggies coming away with a slim 14-11 victory in Bryan, Texas. Sunday marks the second of a three-competition road trip for the Aggies, who will travel to Kansas State on Saturday.
Cowgirls In The Rankings
Oklahoma State remains in the fourth spot in the Women's Intercollegiate National Coaches Poll.
The Pokes debuted the season in the No. 3 spot. They received 50 points in the initial poll, 23 points behind then top-ranked Georgia.
Horsemanship
Riding for the Cowgirls in horsemanship are seniors Ashley Kennedy and Courtney Whitacre, junior Mamie Tomlin, sophomore Marissa Dalton, redshirt-freshman Lauren Halvorson and freshmen Mackenzie Fugitt and Katie Ralph.
Reining
Senior Bri Parnell, juniors Caroline Daniels and Rachel Houchin, sophomores Christy McElreath and Taylor New and freshman Jenna Blumer will represent the Cowgirls in reining.
Equitation Over Fences
Seniors Hannah Beresford, Erin Prutow and Alice White, sophomore Ellie Sparks and freshmen Sammy Elser and Ali Rose will ride for the Pokes in equitation over fences.
Equitation On The Flat
Senior Laura Conley, juniors Sarah Gesick and Jordan White, sophomore Haydan Vosburg and freshman Andrea Robbins will join White, Rose and Sparks in equitation on the flat.
