Cowgirls Finish Fifth At Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team fired a 282 during the third and final round of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday to finish in fifth place at Stanford Golf Course.
The Cowgirls' 2-under day moved them up one spot with an 850 total and put them two shots clear of Southern California and two strokes behind Oregon at the par-71, 6,148-yard layout. UCLA finished with a 286 for an 842 total and a three-shot victory over Vanderbilt.
Washington produced the event's individual medalist with SooBin Kim firing a 5-under 66 to finish at 13-under 200 and two shots ahead of the field.
The Cowgirls had three top-20 showings in the individual race led by Jayde Panos. The sophomore closed with a 2-under 69 that included six birdies. Panos made the turn at 1-over 36 before posting four birdies on her inward nine to move into red figures for the day. Her 2-under 211 score tied her for 10th place.
Junior Kelsey Vines carded the squad's low round of the day with a 68 to finish tied for 16th place at 213.
Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun finished a shot behind Vines at 214 after posting a closing 72 to tie for 20th place.
Sophomore Josephine Janson's 73 tied her for 47th place at 219, while senior Jocelyn Alford posted a 77 for a 226 total to tie for 68th place.
OSU will wrap up its fall slate when it travels to Austin, Texas to begin the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Oct. 31.
