Fall Softball Schedule Announced

Oklahoma State's Softball team will play eight contests this fall, culminating with a visit by the National Pro Fastpitch All-Star team to Cowgirl Stadium, it was announced today by head coach Rich Wieligman.
The Cowgirls will open the fall with a doubleheader against Oklahoma Christian on Wed., Sept. 29. The following Saturday, on Oct. 2, OSU will host a round-robin tournament with Seminole State and Rogers State coming to Stillwater. The Cowgirls will also host St. Gregory's on Oct. 6.
After a doubleheader at Arkansas on Sat., Oct. 9, the Cowgirls will return home for their final game of the fall on Oct. 13. Oklahoma State will host the NPF All-Stars on their "Back to School - College Tour" across the country. Scheduled to compete for the All-Stars is former Cowgirl Shanel Scott, a member of the New England Riptide.
Scott led the NPF in stolen bases with a league record 34 swipes, helping her to a spot on the All-NPF Team as a rookie. Her .324 average led the Riptide and her 35 runs was tops in the league. She was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team her sophomore season and garnered All-Big 12 First Team honors her senior year as a Cowgirl.
