Two Cowboys Compete on Day One

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma State's men's track team entered two competitors in the 5000-meter run on the first day of action at the John McDonnell Invitational.
Klaus Schmidt and Peter Wood finished ninth and 10th, respectively in the event. It was the first time either of the Cowboys had entered in the 5000 in the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Schmidt notched a time of 15:22.49, while Wood crossed the line in 15:28.93.
The Cowboys return to action tomorrow at the John McDonnell Invitational with a busy day of distance running.
