Cowgirls Finish Competition In Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Cowgirl track team competed at the Sooner Invitational in Norman, Okla. Friday and Saturday.
Cowgirl senior Sabrena Switzer and junior Brandi Andrews had the best marks out of the Cowgirls competing at the meet. Switzer finished in seventh place with a mark of 32.83 meters at the javelin throw and Brandi Andrews finished seventh in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.32. Junior Clarissa Andrews also finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.64 meters.
Sophomore Laura Heaton competed for the first time this outdoor season finishing 15th in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:12.22.
The Cowgirls return to action next week for the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.
