The No. 51 Oklahoma State women's tennis team has officially rescheduled its Jan. 30, match against Oral Roberts, which was postponed due to inclement weather, for Friday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at the Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Oklahoma State enters the match at 5-2, coming off a decisive 6-1 victory over Denver. The Cowgirls are now on a two-match win streak after beating both Denver and Wichita State. In OSU's prior match, it lost a close match to No. 30 Southern Methodist in Dallas, Texas, 4-3. The Cowgirls have also beaten Utah, ranked No. 45, 4-3; Saint Louis, 6-1; and Central Oklahoma, 7-0, in 2010.
Oral Roberts enters the match with a 0-5 record in 2010. The Golden Eagles return four letterwinners from a team that finished with a 9-10 overall record in 2009. Oklahoma State owns an 11-3 series advantage against ORU, with the Cowgirls winning the last match, 7-0, in 2009.
In Oklahoma State's last competition, the Cowgirls easily handled Denver, 6-1, at the DeBois Tennis Complex in the OSU home opener. The Cowgirls started the day with a pair of wins in doubles play, winning 8-2 and 8-5 at No. 3 and 1 doubles, respectively, to go up 1-0. Sasha Belova, Nataliya Shatkovskaya, Sarah Meghoufel, Malika Rose and Alexandra Cristello all won in singles play to give the Cowgirls the victory.
The Cowgirl tennis team made its debut in the 2010 ITA team rankings on Feb. 12, when they received a ranking of No. 73. Since then, Oklahoma State has consistently climbed in every poll and now sits at No. 51, which is the Cowgirls' highest ranking since March 2007.
After the Cowgirls face the Golden Eagles, they will travel to Orlando, Fla., for the Orlando Invtational, an individual tournament, March 15-18.

“This is the last nonconference match before we open at Baylor next week. It's a great chance for our girls to continue their development and build on what we've done so far. I know the club is excited to host our match and there will be a great crowd which is exciting for our girls.”
