Cowboys Claim Top Two Spots in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Cowboy track team sent two runners to the Oklahoma Christian II on Saturday in Norman, Okla.
While the Cowboys sent only two athletes, the two did not disappoint. Sophomore Raul Botezan and junior Johnathan Stublaski claimed the top-two spots in the 1,000 meters.
Botezan, a Club-Napoca, Romania native, brought home first-place honors with a time of 2.26.66, while Stublaski finished just behind in second with a time of 2.29.7. Both times were the fastest by a Cowboy runner in the 1,000 meters this season.
The Cowboys return to action next Friday and Saturday at the Husky Invite in Seattle, Wash., and the Tyson Ivnvitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
