Cowgirl Equestrian Hosts Kansas State

The No. 5 Oklahoma State women's equestrian team (3-2, 2-1) will play host to the sixth-ranked Kansas State Wildcats (4-2, 1-2) at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater on Saturday.
K-State This Season
The Lady Wildcats are 4-2 on the season and currently ranked sixth in the nation. The Cowgirls traveled to Manhattan in the fall season and defeated Kansas State, 12-7, giving the Lady Wildcats their first loss of the year.
OSU Recently
The Cowgirls are preparing for their first event of the spring semester. Last week's trip to South Carolina and Auburn was postponed due to inclement weather.
Snow Days
Oklahoma State was not able to make the flight to Columbia, S.C. for their matchups with the Gamecocks and the Auburn Tigers due to last week's snow storm. The events have been rescheduled for February 20-21.
The Rankings
The Cowgirls stayed in the fifth position in the latest Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll. All four participating Big 12 teams are ranked in the top 10, with Texas A&M in the third position, Kansas State sixth and Baylor rounding out the Big 12 schools at No. 7.
Horsemanship
Riding for the Cowgirls in Horsemanship are seniors Suzanne Randolph and Kilee Stewart, juniors Stephanie Hasper, Lauren Olson and Courtney Whitacre, sophomores Nichole Chirico and Mamie Tomlin and freshman Marissa Dalton.
Reining
Seniors Leah Kuehn, Rachell Shobe and Molly Tipton lead Oklahoma State in the reining category. Joining the seniors are junior Brianna Parnell, sophomores Rachel Houchin and Caroline Daniels and freshmen Christy McElreath and Taylor New.
Equitation On The Flat
In Equitation on the Flat, the Cowgirls will be led by senior standout Ally Blais. She has a perfect 4-0 record in the discipline, garnering MVP honors in each of her head-to-head victories. Joining Blais will be senior Jen McLaughlin, juniors Jessie Brothers, Laura Conley and Alice White, sophomores Sarah Brown and Jordan White and freshman Andrea Callahan.
Equitation Over Fences
Joining Blais, Alice White and Jordan White in equitation over fences are junior Hannah Beresford and freshmen Aaron Duckett and Ellie Sparks.
