Milton Hits Automatic Mark In Seattle

Fayetteville, Ark, – The Oklahoma State women's track and field team had several season bests at the Tyson Invitational on the first day of competition in Fayetteville and newcomer Felicity Milton scored automatic and provisional marks in the 5000 meter run at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash.
Milton, a new addition to the Cowgirl track team, ran a time of 15:58.34 which met both the provisional and automatic qualifying standards.
The majority of the cowgirls traveled to Fayetteville and had a strong showing during the competition. Sophomore Kendra Woodson ran her season best 800 meter run with a time of 2:14.37 and a fifth place finish. Freshmen Kate Kujawa and Melanie Funke both recorded season bests at the mile with times of 5:04.96 and 5:07.52 finishing fourth and ninth, respectively.
