The Basics
The Oklahoma State women's tennis team will have a busy schedule this weekend, as the Cowgirls take on Tulane at noon Saturday and SMU at noon Sunday.
Both matches will be played at the Turpin Tennis Center in Dallas, Texas.
About the Cowgirls
Oklahoma State enters the Tulane match at 3-1, coming off a 4-3 upset over No. 61 Utah in Tulsa.
The Cowgirls dropped their season-opening dual match Jan. 23 to No. 19 Arkansas, 7-0, before responding with a 6-1 win over Saint Louis the following day. Oklahoma State earned another win last week, knocking off Central Oklahoma, 7-0. The Cowgirls never lost a set in the match.
About the Opponents
Tulane is 3-1 on the year and coming off of a 7-0 win over New Orleans on Wednesday. The Green Wave has also defeated Southeastern Louisiana and New Mexico, while dropping a 4-2 match against Texas Tech. Oklahoma State owns a 3-2 series edge over Tulane.
Southern Methodist is coming off a pair of wins last weekend, making the Mustangs 7-1 on the season. SMU earned a 4-3 win at No. 35 Tulsa and a 6-0 victory over Oral Roberts. SMU has a pair of athletes in the ITA singles rankings, as Marta Lesniak is No. 47 and Aleksandra Malyachikova holds the No. 76 spot. The Mustangs also have a pair of doubles teams in the polls, as Marta Lesniak and Pavi Francis are ranked No. 15 and Lesniak and Malyachikova are No. 30. The Cowgirls own a 6-5 series advantage over the Mustangs.
Last Time Out
In Oklahoma State's latest competition, the Cowgirls rolled to an easy 7-0 win over Central Oklahoma.
The Cowgirls won every set in the match, dominating the Bronchos at each position to improve to 3-1.

After their match against the Mustangs, the Cowgirls will play their first home dual match of 2010, facing Wichita State on Feb. 20 in Stillwater, Okla.
