Cowboys Defeat La Salle in 2 OT, 92-87

Philadelphia, Pa. - Marshall Moses scored a career-high 30 points, including 27 after halftime, and grabbed 18 rebounds as the Cowboys won a double-overtime thriller 92-87 here over La Salle Saturday afternoon at the Palestra. Oklahoma State improved to 7-1 on the season.
La Salle went on a 13-0 run at the end of the first half to take a 33-25 lead into the locker room. Oklahoma State trailed by as many as 10 in the second half, falling behind 39-29 with 14:05 remaining in the second half. When Aaric Murray slammed home a dunk at the 10:53 mark, the Cowboys trailed by nine at 50-41.
Oklahoma State went on a 17-9 run over the next five minutes and trailed by just one at 59-58 with just over five minutes to go. OSU took its first lead of the second period when Marshall Moses hit a jumper with 2:38 to go. Another Moses basket with 11 seconds left tied the game, and Ruben Guillandeaux missed a jumper with 1.6 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
Both teams scored 12 points in the first OT period, and in the second, tied 79-79, Nick Sidorakis took the jump ball and hit an uncontested layup to take an 81-79 advantage. A trey by Ray Penn, his fourth of the game, gave the Pokes a five-point advantage they never relinquished.
Penn scored 17 points off the bench and also had six assists. Keiton Page had 13 points and six assists as well. Matt Pilgrim scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in his first start of the season, and Darrell Williams had nine rebounds and eight assists coming off the bench.
Oklahoma State will travel to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
