Cowgirls Reach Final at AQHA Championships

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma State equestrian athletes Marissa Dalton and Christy McElreath advanced to the final round in their respective disciplines at the 2010 American Quarter Horse Association World Championships Saturday, scoring higher than some of the top riders in the country.

Dalton advanced to the top 15 in horsemanship, and will compete on Tuesday for the title of world champion.

McElreath earned the second highest score of the day for her ride to move on in reining. She will vie for the top spot on Wednesday.
