Cowgirl Equestrian Signs 13

Katy Krshka
Highlighting the 2011 class in the western discipline is Yukon, Oklahoma native Katy Krshka. Katy is an AQHYA World Champion and a 4 time Reserve World Champion in Western Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation and Showmanship. She is an 11 time All American Quarter Horse Congress Champion and has 5 All-Around Congress titles to her name. Katy represented the United States last summer at the AQHYA World Cup and brought home 3 Gold Medals for her Country. In addition to her successes in the riding arena, Ms. Krshka has an impeccable academic record. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career and was named the outstanding freshman of the year and outstanding sophomore of the year at Yukon High. Katy has been a director of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Youth Association (OQHYA) for the past 6 years and is currently serving as OQHYA President. Katy is the daughter of Jackie Krshka and Tom Krshka both of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Lindsey McMullen
Joining the Cowgirls next fall, after taking a year off to pursue her goals in the Quarter Horse industry, is Norris, Tennessee's Lindsey McMullen. The daughter of Patrick and Carla McMullen has been competing in the AQHYA since 2003. Lindsay has had numerous top 10 finishes at the AQHYA World Championships including taking home the bronze trophy in Western Horsemanship in 2010. Lindsey is a four time All- American Quarter Horse Congress Champion and has won numerous Reserve Congress Championships and top ten finishes. She has been in the top five and top ten of the AQHYA national year-end high point standings in Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation and Trail.

Allison Hurlbut
All-American Quarter Horse Congress Champion, Allie Hurlbut, will join the Cowgirl roster next fall. In addition to her success at the Congress, Allie has won numerous circuit championships at venues across the country and is an AQHYA World Championship qualifier. Her successes are not limited to the show arena as she maintains a 3.87 GPA and is a valuable member of the Lincoln Southwest High School Soccer Team. She has logged many volunteer hours through her high school career and is actively involved in Southwood Lutheran Church. Allie hails from Lincoln, Nebraska and is the daughter of Jill and Patrick Hurlbut.

Danielle Olafson
Joining the Cowgirl Equestrian Roster from north of the border is Danielle Olafson. Danielle represented Team Canada at the 2010 AQHYA World Cup winning a gold medal in the Western Horsemanship Showcase and a silver in the Hunter Under Saddle. Ms. Olafson's successes carried over to the 2010 AQHYA World Championships in Oklahoma City as she brought home the bronze trophy in the Hunter Under Saddle. Danielle's other 2010 season highlights were placing in the Top 10 at the All American Quarter Horse Congress and winning at the Reichert Celebration. Danielle was also a competitor on the Canadian World Cup team in 2008. The Edmonton, Alberta native is the daughter of Brian Olafson and Karen Lobb.

Mackenzie Malone
Stillwater's own Mackenzie Malone has signed with the Cowgirls for next fall. The daughter of Janelle and Jim Malone, both graduates of Oklahoma State University, was a 2010 circuit champion at the Redbud Spectacular in Oklahoma City. She was also the 2010 Reichert Celebration Team Tournament Top Five all-around individual. Mackenzie has won circuit championships in Oklahoma and South Carolina and was the CHSA Circuit Champion. Ms. Malone also won a 2010 OQHYA year end high point. Mackenzie has logged numerous community service hours and is an honor roll student at Stillwater High School.

Lindsey Morris
Joining the Cowgirl roster in 2011 is Brush Prairie, Washington resident Lindsey Morris. Lindsey has made her mark both in the American Paint Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association of America. She had numerous top ten placings at the 2010 APHYA World Championships and was a 2010 World Champion at the Pinto World Championships. In addition she also won a reserve World Championship and seven top ten placings at the 2010 Pinto World show. She was a World Champion and won 4 reserve world championships in 2009. Lindsey is actively involved in her High School Equestrian team and won numerous State Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She is an honor roll student at Hockinson High School and is the daughter of Mardi and David Morris, also of Brush Prairie.

Kaitlin Townsend
The sole reiner to sign with the cowgirls this fall is Kaitlin Townsend of Argyle, Texas. Kaitlin rides with Pete Kyle of Whitesboro, Texas and competed at the AQHYA World Championships in 2010 and placed 9th in 2009. Kaitlin is the Treasurer for the National Honor Society and is a member of the Argyle High School Student Council. Kaitlin is the daughter of Susan and Steve Townsend also of Argyle.

Leighona Bernstein
Also joining the Cowgirls next year is Golden, CO native Leighona Bernstein. She is the daughter of Teri and Ross Bernstein and will graduate from Wheat Ridge High School this coming spring where she has lettered in academics and athletics. After riding throughout her childhood, Leighona has focused on the hunters and equitation, both in her home state and on the national stage. She has qualified for all the major indoor Equitation finals and has earned top ribbons at Regional and Zone Shows for the ASPCA Maclay, USEF Pessoa, Talent Search, Zone 8 Equitation Medal and well as Capital Challenge. She has earned year end awards in the USEF, Zone 8 Large Junior Hunters and has also been selected for the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program.

Savannah Carr
Oklahoma State also welcomes incoming freshman Savannah Carr to the Equestrian Team roster for the fall of 2011. Savannah is 4.0 student finishing her senior year at Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande California. She has be competing since a young age and has worked her way through the jumper divisions to be consistent competitor in the High Jr./AO. Most notably, she has earned Circuit Championships at Pebble Beach, won the High Jr/AO Classics at Pebble Beach, Del Mar and The Los Angeles National. She additionally was on the Gold Medalist team for the North American Junior Young Rider Championships in 2008. Savannah is the daughter of Gil and Patty Carr and looks forward to starting her collegiate riding career with the cowgirls.

Maggie Gampfer
Hailing from Lake Worth, Florida, Oklahoma State is proud to welcome Maggie Gampfer to their roster next year. Maggie has been riding since the age of 4 and has worked her way through the top hunters and equitation ranks, earning the respect of some of the nation's best trainers along the way. She has earned many awards including Winter Equestrian Festival Overall Circuit Championships, Devon Sportsmanship, Champion at The National Horse Show in 2007, USEF Zone 4 Championships, and other numerous year end awards from USEF and the Florida Hunter Jumper Associations. She has successfully competed at the nation's top horse shows including Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), Devon, Pennsylvania National, The National Horse Show, Capital Challenge, and USEF Pony Finals. Maggie is the daughter of Chip and Diane Gampfer, and is finishing her senior year as an honors student at Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida.

Allison Joyce
Also arriving in Stillwater next fall is Allison Joyce from Medway, Massachusetts. Allie is a senior at The Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA and is the daughter of Pamela Williamson and Mark Joyce. No stranger to the catch ride, Allison has participated in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association during her high school career earning many honors including the Varsity National Champion and Leading Rider titles in 2009 and serving as team captain. She has also made her mark in the Equitation ranks, competing at the top horse shows including WEF, HITS Saugerties, Vermont Summer Festival, Skidmore Classic and the USEF Pessoa National Medal and Maclay Regional finals among others. She has earned top finishes at the New England Equitation Championship, the Massachusetts Horseman's Council Junior Medal Final, NEHJ Junior Talent Search, Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Junior Medal Final and she recently won the Rhode Island Junior Medal Final for 2010. Allison began her riding career with Kathleen Haas-Ogonowski at Rising Star Equestrian Center and trains with Kathy Fletcher at Grazing Fields Farm in Buzzards Bay, MA.

Olivia Trueb
A senior at the Watkinson School in Hartford, Connecticut, the Cowgirls are proud to welcome Olivia Trueb to the roster next fall. A seasoned rider in the Big Eq, Olivia has qualified for ASPCA Maclay Regionals and Finals, USEF Hunt Seat Medal Finals and USET Finals. She has also competed successfully at some the Nation's Top Shows including the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington Florida, Lake Placid and at the Kentucky Hors e Park. Olivia is the daughter of Steve and Mary Ellen Trueb and trains with Linda Langmeier of Kelianda Farm in East Granby Connecticut.

Alexandra Walsh
Allie Walsh from Marlboro, New Jersey has been competing at the "A" rated shows for several years. After working her way through the Children's Equitation and Hunter ranks, Allie has many victories including Grand Champion Awards at the NJPHA Fall Finale 3' Equitation, top 5 Finish for the Marshall & Sterling 3' Equitation Finals, Grand Champion year end award at Monmouth County Horse Show for 3' Equitation and 3' Hunters, and qualified and showed at Capital Challenge in the THIS National Children's Medal Finals. She was one of 12 riders selected from Zone 2 to participate in the Level II Emerging Athletes program. She is currently competing in the 3'6" Equitation and her show schedule this year included strong performances at WEF in the USEF Medal , Marshall & Sterling Central Equine Medal Finals in Saugerties, Zone ll Maclay Regionals and USEF Medal Finals. Allie is the daughter of Amy and James Walsh and is a working student for Old Glory Farm in Howell, NJ.
