STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State sophomore Carson Michalowski has been named a CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performer of the Week for Week 13 based on her performances in leading the Cowgirls to a pair of wins on the opening weekend of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
A defender for the Cowgirls, Michalowski was instrumental in helping OSU advance to its first-ever Sweet 16 with a pair of 2-1 wins. She played the entire 90 minutes in both games and helped anchor a defense that continues to lead the Big 12 Conference with a 0.77 goals against average.
A native of Plano, Texas, Michalowski was one of the heroes of Sunday's second-round win over Oregon State as she recorded the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute to propel the Cowgirls into the Sweet 16, a victory that also saw OSU set a school record for single-season wins with its 19th of the year.
Michalowski has played in 23 games this season and was named an All-Big 12 Second Team performer. She has helped the Cowgirls rack up nine shutouts on the year.
