vs Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns
Friday, October 8, 2010
· Oklahoma State's team captains for tonight's game were: #9 senior WR Bo Bowling, #59 senior LB Tolu Moala and #95 senior K Dan Bailey.
· Senior Tolu Moala made his first-career start at linebacker tonight vs. Louisiana.
· The Cowboys played without two defensive starters, LB Justin Gent and DT Shane Jarka.
· Dan Bailey's 52-yard field goal at the 12:38 mark in the first half is a career long. His previous long was 51 yards vs. Missouri in 2009. He hit a second one from 52 yards out with 9:44 left in the game and a 47 yarder with 6:17 to go. Luke Phillips connected on two 52 yard FGs against Oklahoma on Nov. 24, 2001.
· With a 22-yard TD pass to Hubert Anyiam, junior QB Brandon Weeden now has 17 scoring passes on the season, moving him into seventh place on the OSU single-season list for TD passes.
· With an 11-yard TD catch in the first quarter, sophomore WR Justin Blackmon has now caught a scoring pass in five-consecutive games. The last time a Cowboy accomplished that feat was 2003 when Rashaun Woods caught a touchdown pass in five straight games to end the season.
· With a 43-yard reception early in the second half, Blackmon went over the 100-yard mark for the fifth-straight game this season. He finished the game with 190 yards.
· Blackmon's 13 catches are a career high. He also moved into sixth place on the single-season TD receptions list, moving past Rashaun Woods' 10 in 2001.
· Kendall Hunter's 1-yard TD run on the opening drive of the second half gave Oklahoma State a TD on the opening drive after halftime in every game this season.
· With 126 yards rushing, Hunter recorded his 15th-career triple-digit rushing game.
· Andrew McGee's interception at the 12:15 mark of the third quarter marks his third consecutive game with a pick.
· Thanks to McGee's INT, OSU's opponents have failed to score on any opening possession of a half this season.
· Oklahoma State now has eight interceptions in the last three games after accumulating none in the first two contests.
· Michael Harrison's 24-yard TD catch 4:05 into the third quarter was the fourth reception of his career and his second TD grab.
· Hunter and Blackmon had 100 yards rushing and receiving, respectively, the fourth time in five games this season that event has occurred.
· For the third time in five games this season, Oklahoma State's defense failed to give up a point in the first quarter.
· Oklahoma State has trailed at halftime in three of its five games this season.
