Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Cowgirl softball team will host Rogers State and Seminole State on Saturday afternoon in a round-robin format at the Cowgirl Softball Complex. OSU will host SSC at noon, followed by Seminole State vs. Rogers State at 2:30 pm. The day will conclude with the Cowgirls hosting RSU at 5 pm. Admission is free.
Oklahoma State is 2-0 during the fall with a doubleheader sweep of Oklahoma Christian on Wednesday afternoon. The Cowgirl pitching staff did not give up a run in 14 innings against the Eagles. All four hurlers played in the twinbill, combining for 17 strikeouts and just two walks while giving up two hits.
The Cowgirl offense had four doubles, three triples and two home runs in the two games, with both homers coming off the bat of junior first-baseman Julie Ward. As a team, OSU is hitting .349 this fall with a .603 slugging percentage. Three Cowgirls — leadoff hitter Mariah Gearhart, shortstop Chelsea Garcia and freshman catcher Tarah Ettinger — are all batting .500.
