The Basics
The Oklahoma State women's tennis team will compete in its third and fourth dual matches of the 2010 season this weekend as the Cowgirls take on Oral Roberts twice. The first dual match will begin at noon Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. Cowgirl tennis fans will then have another opportunity to view the Cowgirls as they play ORU again at 6 p.m. at the Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow.
About the Cowgirls
The Cowgirls return five letterwinners from last year's squad, which finished with a 13-12 record and reached the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal.
Oklahoma State enters its third match of the year with a 1-1 record after one weekend of play.
The Cowgirls dropped their season-opening dual match Jan. 23 to No. 19 Arkansas, 7-0, before responding with a 6-1 win over Saint Louis the following day.
About the Opponent
Oral Roberts is 0-3 on the year, dropping its first three dual matches against No. 36 Tulsa, Memphis and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State owns an 11-3 series advantage over the Golden Eagles, with the Cowgirls winning twice in 2009, 7-0 and 6-0.
