FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Oklahoma State women's tennis team opened its 2010 dual-match season Saturday, falling to No. 19 Arkansas, 7-0.
Even with three new Cowgirls in the lineup and returner Sasha Belova sidelined with an injury, Oklahoma State managed to stay competitive in several matches throughout the dual.
"I am proud of the way our girls competed today," coach Chris Young said. "We were in a lot of close matches, but we played one of the better teams in the country today and they exposed areas where we need to improve. We will get better."
The Cowgirls return to action Sunday, facing Saint Louis at 10 a.m. in Fayetteville, Ark.
