Cowgirls Ready for First Competition of 2009-10 Season

STILLWATER, Okla. - Several members of the Oklahoma State women's team are set to begin play for the 2009-10 year, as the Cowgirls travel to Wichita, Kan., to compete in the Wichita State Fall Classic.

Senior Nataliya Shatkovskaya, junior Sasha Belova, sophomores Iryna Khatsko and Alisa Buslaieva and freshmen Alexandra Cristello and Leyla Simmons will represent the Cowgirls in the tournament, which will be played at WSU's Coleman Tennis Complex on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"I am looking forward to seeing the girls compete," Cowgirl coach Chris Young said. "They have been working hard to improve and I believe they will compete hard."

In addition to Oklahoma State, athletes from Arkansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Arkansas State and Wichita State will also compete in the event.
