Cross Country Grabs Regional Rankings

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's cross country teams grabbed spots in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason rankings, it was announced today.
As expected, the four-time defending Midwest Region champions Cowboys were rewarded with the No.1 ranking. The Cowboys have returned seven of the runners they sent to the NCAA championships a year ago.
The national rankings are set to be released Tuesday and the Cowboys are the perennial favorite to grab the No. 1 spot.
On the women's side, the Cowgirls earned the No. 5 ranking in the Midwest Region. The OSU women will return to action this weekend in Springfield, Mo.
