Former Cowgirl Finishes Third At Futures Tour Event

LONDON, Ky. - Former Oklahoma State standout Pernilla Lindberg fired a 66 during her final round at the Duramed Futures Tour's Falls Auto Group Classic to finish in third place.
Lindberg entered the final round tied for 18th place with a 36-hole tally of 142 before posting her 6-under score at Crooked Creek Golf Community. Her 66 was the second-lowest score of the day at the par-72, 6,360-yard layout.
The Bollnäs, Sweden native went out in 4-under 32 after posting birdies at Nos. 1, 3, 6 and 9. Lindberg's only bogey of the day came at the par-3 11th, but was answered with a birdie at No. 12. After a string of five-straight pars, Lindberg posted an eagle at the par-5 closing hole to finish with an 8-under total of 208 and earn her highest Tour finish to date.
Mina Harigae won the event with an 11-under score of 205, while Amanda Blumenherst came in as the event's runner up at 207.
Lindberg has now made seven Tour starts and has finished in the top 10 four times, including a pair of top fives. With her third-place showing, she moved from 35th to 17th on the money list and is one of just two players in the top 20 to make less than 11 starts.
