Cross Country Set for 2009 Campaign

The Basics
Oklahoma State's men's and women's cross country team are set to begin the 2009 campaign in a three-team meet with Tulsa and Oral Roberts at Mohawk Park in Tulsa, Okla., on Tuesday. The Cowboys and Cowgirls will return to Tulsa on Saturday for the Hurricane Invitational. The Cowboys are the defending Big 12 and NCAA Midwest Regional Champions and begin the season with a highly-talented veteran squad. The Cowgirls begin their first season under the direction of Dave Smith, who took over as the Director of Cross County and Track and Field in the offseason. Tuesday's event is set to begin at 7 p.m. and Saturday's Hurricane Invitational will begin at 9 a.m.
OSU Lineups
Running for the Cowboys in Tuesday's 5 x 1-mile relay format will be Ryan Little, John Stublaski, Daniel Watts, Peter Wood and Ryan Prentice. Suiting up for the Cowgirls in the same format are Brandi Andrews, Zoe Galbraith, Alyse Goldsmith, Laura Heaton, Kate Kujawa and Kelli Quimby. Saturday's meet will be a four-mile event for the Cowboys, who will feature Little, Stublaski, Wood, Prentice, Watts, David Chirchir, Tucker Weems and Sean Fleming. The Cowgirls will run their two-mile event with Andrews, Goldsmith, Heaton, Kujawa, Quimby, Alexis Alexander, Jacqueline Campos, Melanie Funke, Teran Mixon, Kaitlin Scepanski and Kendra Woodson.
