Cowgirl senior Heather Kim has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VI second team, it was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Kim, a native of Boulder, Colo., has started 21 games this season for the Cowgirls at first base and as the designated player. This is her second such honor, as she was a member of the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District I first team in 2007 at Syracuse. She transferred to OSU prior to the 2007-08 academic year and started 50 games for the Cowgirls last season.
Kim is a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete, a four-time President's Honor Roll selection and is the 2009 Senior Directors Chair, representing the top grade point average on her team. She will graduate summa cum laude in May with a degree in psychology.
